From President Anne

It was an early start on Monday morning at the Village. By 6.30 am we were busy putting up the Christmas post covers and the Christmas tree in the clock tower building.

Thank you to Fergus Nutt for your guidance and support with the Village Christmas Decorations.

Thank you to the Mornington Peninsula Shire who are the major sponsor of this years Village Christmas Decorations.

On Wednesday we hung the baubles in the shop windows and it was great to see people’s reactions and those looking for their baubles. There really are some amazing art works.

Thursday evening was the Bunnings Christmas market.

Friday at Bunnings with Christmas cakes and puddings on sale inside with help from the Mornington Secondary College students …..

….. and a BBQ with Mornington Secondary College supporting their breakfast club.

Our net profit for the day was $419 plus $40 donations and $356 of cake sales.

….. and a big thank you to Maddy from Mornington Secondary College.

Great work team!

Saturday we were at Bentons Square selling our cakes and puddings again …..

….. with a BBQ outside the main entrance.

Our profit was $535 on the BBQ and $920 on cake sales.

Our thanks to Andrew and his team at Linden's Fresh at Bentons for donating the sausages on Saturday.

Captain RORP Wayne Jenkins has been working particularly hard over recent weeks harvesting playgrounds. The Bin Chickens have also been hard at work as we move into the busy summer season.

The Community and Youth committee's met earlier in the week and this Monday we will be taking a look at various projects, including discussion around Australia Day.

The Board will meet at 4.30pm on Monday for its final meeting of 2025.

Drop in to the Community Bank Mount Martha for a copy of their 2026 Calendar - with Rotary Mount Martha featuring on the cover page!

The club also recently invested in a new Weber BBQ for our smaller events and to compliment our trailer and portable BBQ's.

Our thanks to Bernie Meehan who organised the new BBQ through Lachlan from Heat & Grill, Bridge Rd, Richmond - who certainly looked after us!
