Special Meeting 18.5.26

On Monday night we started with a special meeting where Byron Groves presented the updated Club Constitution/Rules and the updated Club By Laws following the last Rotary International Council on Legislation to ensure that all Clubs Constitution/Rules comply with its State Incorporated Association Regulations. We are grateful to Byron for his work on this matter. The club supported the changes unanimously.

Projects Meeting 18.5.26

We moved into our Projects meeting and Treasurer Peter talked about the proposed budget which has been circulated to all members. Please take a good look at this and discuss at your next committee meeting or contact Peter directly if you need any further clarification.

Ray Martin gave us an update on the Ingin project and the birthing kits.

Peter Wiltshire spoke about the Interact fundraiser for Animalia wildlife care and the process the Interact club goes through choosing the recipient for each fundraising activity, particularly their “why”.

President Anne spoke about the upcoming breakfast BBQ at Mornington Secondary College and we are still looking for a few more helpers on Friday 19th June 6.30am until 9 am.

There is also an opportunity to visit the Portsea Camp on the same day.

Byron has circulated the latest events sheet so please check where you have been rostered on with BBQs.

Rotary Mount Martha donations

We announced and made a $1,215 donation to the Mornington Community Support Centre Winter Appeal.

A $1,000 donation has also been made to Heartprint, Siem Reap, Cambodia to their community projects.

A further donation has been made to the Mount Martha CFA of $1,000 from our Disaster Relief allocation.

We were also delighted to help Warlimont & Nutt with the loan of our small BBQ, square and modem as they raised funds for the Cancer Council with the Biggest Morning Tea.

This week at TMH 25.5.26

On Monday our guest speaker is Dylan Tickell from Peninsula 2.0 who will be speaking about their Birth Tree and Family Garden project. It’s a fantastic project and something that we could potentially consider as a club project.
