Bunnings BBQ 6.4.26

Easter Monday we were at Bunnings, where we raised $1,766 with $86.80 of donations.

$1,000 of these funds has already been sent to Mornington Community Support Centre to assist with relocating those who need to move out of The Ranch later this week.

The early Bunnings BBQ team got off to a good start

The midday Bunnings BBQ team were busy on Easter Monday

The afternoon Bunnings BBQ shift were hard at work too.

Tiny House Project

The following update on the tiny house project which we supported through the Frankston Mornington Peninsula Community Group

“This afternoon we finally moved the Catalyst tiny house to its new home with the Salvation Army in Capel Sound. Big thanks again to John Plumridge from Maw Civil for hosting the build and towing to site. We have a few site connections to make, a deck to install and then it will be ready to house a community member at risk of homelessness.

The Salvos are keen to trial this alternative form of crisis accommodation and our Shire is also working alongside to help navigate the regulatory systems to ensure this pilot has the best chance of success.

Big thanks to everyone who has supported this project. More to come…” Simon Brooks

It will be interesting to follow the success of this project.

The Tiny House
